Hailing from a small, nearly tribal -esque community in Hingashi, Mauvia has always had a touch for healing. Long before she used magics, she was concocting herbal remedies and tending to the ill of her village under the tutelage of her single mother.Possessing an affinity for aether, Mauvia has always had a strong sense of empathy and a duty to attend to those who need it: whether it be those with wounds physical or of heart and mind. When she develops a talent for healing magic, the young Au'ra feels compelled to find a greater path to walk than her small home. Her connection to aether manifests in the flavor of water, often describing sensing the flow of aether in the motion of the element. Disrupted individuals feel like stormy, crashing waves, whereas peaceful folk are simple creeks, quiet and content. I simply flavor her magic as connected to nature and draws upon her own aether to heal, since the "white mage" title is restricted to Padjal.When she senses the stream of fate starting to diverge, she makes way for Eorzea, eager to dig out the source and gain some training on the magical ability she's barely scraped the surface of.Mauvia is very private about her untrained talents and frankly does not know the technical names for any specific magical skills.All backstory elements subject to change & please feel free to politely suggest edits for canon compliance and ease of interaction. Over the years, she's managed to learn how to hide the depths of her affection for her companions, but it hasn't gone away. She's riddled with secondhand guilt, regret she can't help everyone, and a bit of anxiety that someone will take offense to her overt fondness.On the outside, she may seem like a typical bleeding-heart healer, but the excessive empathy she possesses is unhealthy and she tends to be self-sacrificial.
